NOt to scare anyone, but bed bugs are now unfortunately residing in Penn South. I got reliable info from one of the porters that they are in buildings 2,4 and 7. If you see anything crawling in your bed and get bitten, call the maintenance office immediately.
I also live in building 3. I was very concerned to see your post about bed bugs. Is there anything we can do in the building to help prevent them from spreading. Have you spoken to anyone in management about this? Have they been able to help?
we got something under the door today from management about bed bugs. Didn't they say they wouldn't send papers under the door anymore? I guess they think is is an important issue here
They have someone in the office aggressively working on this. I know because he has called me several times to get into my apartment to exterminate because they found bed bugs in my line. Apparently they are concerned that the bed bugs travel through electrical outlets.
It seems that entire floors in the co op are being affected. I wonder if there is anything that can be done to prevent the spread, like treating apartments adjacent to those that are affected. This is very disturbing, I have a friend who is infested, and it started with one apartment on her floor, then spread.
I saw the exterminator in the lobby yesterday and was going to ask him where the bed bugs were in the building. What I am wondering if it is on both sides of my building? Does anyone know if it's in 7A and 7B? I have not seen any so far
I don't know which side they are on, or if they are on both sides, certain floors or certain lines. But in the case that I heard about, a resident brought some of the bed bugs into the hallway of her floor. (So dumb.)
