sullivan st bakery - 08-04-2012, 03:45 PM

seems they make small batches of pizze and it runs out too fast. They were out of both my favorites the other day and it would take 45 minutes to make more so I left with a snack. Today I returned again for my favorite 2 pizze- wild mushroom and potato onion= I get there and there is a small group of people - tourists ordering stretche, pizze etc. worth like 70 bucks. a big order to stay. I look and the lady in the group takes the last mushroom pizze. Now I am mad but I see a new one to try- cauliflower which I never saw before so I got that and my beloved onion potatoe. No sooner does the lady wrap it in the bag for me the tourist comes up to the counter and says this is cold. of course it is served that way, she seemed mad that it could not be heated and she took the last mushroom which I really wanted. First they ask does it come in a pie? No= if they wanted pizza they should have gone next door LOL

there breads are supposed to be very good- I always bought the pizzw as whole foods used to carry it but only carries the pizze bianca one one variety now. That chocolate thing for 4 bucks that comes in a cupcake wrapper is delicious a little expensive but its homemade and i can tell. I find the onion potatoe pizze more filling than mushroom. The cauliflower pizze is good too and I havent tried the squash one yet. Theyseem to get a lot of tourists and thats a turnoff for me. That lady that bought a slice of mushroom pizze was maf it could not be heated up- a tourist of course and she took the last piece. i wanted one LOL- their coffee is expensive- french press- big deal

Momjo, I'll look for the chocolate thing for 4 bucks, as you say. I'll look at the breads too. The pizza, hmm, - not sure. I'm fussy what pizza should be like and how much it should cost. But, I'll even give it a look based on your review.
