Yes, I know it's not the rent, it's the carrying charges.
Anyway, I have a question. I just opened my rent bill, intending to pay it, and it said to pay zero this month. Huh? There are all kinds of weird calculations, that of course are unexplained and... [Read More]
If you are about number 75 on the 2-bedroom list, how long might you expect to wait to be called? I was wondering if any of you could answer this from your own experiences in the past before you were called to see apartments. I'd appreciate anybody's help on this!
There's a guy who lets his two little dogs run wild on without a leash, and a few times I've mentioned to him they should be leashed because it's the law. Today I told him again, and in his best Jim Carrey smirk impression, said "I know" and giggled flippantly.
Just thought Chelsea would like to know who's behind a lot of the dog poo you're stepping in - as you can... [Read More]
I was passing by building 9 this morning and there was a person mowing the lawn. I would not think anything of it except it was a couple of minutes before 7:30 am. Isn't that too early to mowthe lawn in penn south? I would think the rules would be for after 8am
I got called to look at apartments and I'm fairly high on the list so there's a good chance I'll be offered one soon. I do not have $56,000 (for a two-bedroom) lying around so I'd need to borrow it. How does that work? Are there mortgage brokers who deal with Penn South? Is there someplace I should go?
I've seen posts from people west of 10th Avenue who don't feel adequately represented here. The answer I saw was that it all starts with them and that they should just start contributing. That makes sense - but I was wondering where their contributions would go since there is no "between 10th and 11th Aves" category.
Which caused me to notice that the "W23rd -... [Read More]
We, in Penn South, are not Renters; therefore we do not pay Rent. We are Cooperators; & we pay "Maintenance Carrying Charges". Some of our cooperators still refer to paying "rent" in Penn South. While, on the face of it, it doesn't appear to be an important distinction, it really is. The term "rent" is not only inaccurate,... [Read More]
Anyone seen the new penn south paper that they are drafting a new regulation about dogs here. Seems they are going with the flow as its costing too much money not to allow dogs in as long as they surcharge 5 dollars from your rent. Lets see how many cooperatoes will now get dogs once its legal. There is a weight restriction on new dogs. Well sure hope they have that area just for dogs walking... [Read More]
There is a man wearing a turban walking around 14, 15 street & other streets in chelsea.
This man stiffed me of $ 50. on wed. june 24th around 3pm.
He pretends to be some kind of a guru. He wanted more money, but
luckly did not have more cash on me. He tried the same thing with some
other neighbor. We can identify this man.
Anybody know of a good tailor in the Chelsea area? I lost a lot of weight, but I have a faux shearling jacket that I'd really like to wear in the fall if it can be taken in a bit. All suggestions appreciated!
Does anyone know if there is any tech support for this blog? For the last few days, I have not been getting my usual notifications. Instead, I get a message with the subject line: "Could not find phrase 'digestforum'." The same sentence is in the body of the email.
