I didn't ask anyone to call anyone a door banger.

Chelseanewyork, this is from your June 9th post:

Its funny because you like the wife and can't seem to find a way to ask him nicely to stop with the door slam. So I was thinking of maybe calling someone that slams door a door banger...? So that's the reason I was laughing...calling someone that slams doors a door banger

Foam insulation strips do the trick, .25" wide and 1/8 thick is good. Thicker than that door might not close right. Also, yes foam or felt circles help. Both can be used in actual door jamb, but to side of inner part of door frame at base and top, ie where hinges are helps too. It muffles it well.
Jacks on w31st has sets of foam and felt circles for like $2.

This reminds me of an old italian saying i saw posted on a door in a rome hotel, translated as:
To close a door well is a sure sign of civility.

        Too true.
Hang that sign up. Might open their eyes. Or piss them off. Haha.

          Magpie,

          The key word is "I".
Nowhere did I ask anyone to called anyone names.
I wrote "I was thinking maybe".
Hope this clears out any misunderstandings.
