All I wanted to do was set the record straight. - A-- It did not happen in my building---- It was not a cooperator from my building===== C--- If that club wasnt there this incident would not have happened-- both the girl victim and the rapist both came out of that club---- Frankly no young girl ought to be walking alone on a deserted street at 4 in the morning on a weekend-- best to go in pairs-- groups--- When my daughter got home at 2 am last weekend she was escorted by another person after seeinga late movie in the city-- I sure would not be comfortable with her walking around alone that time of day

The assault charge came from me trying to get this 350 pound idiot off of me and the resisting arrest was again, cause I was trying to get this dumb security guard off me. I had no idea these rent a cops have the jurisdiction to arrest anyone.
Me 2.. I seen they 2 weeks ago walking 2 guys in handcuffs 2 their station house.

RE: "So I guess the moral of the story is don't walk your dog back there..."
Actually, this part of the story seems to have a few lessons:
Don't take your dog into a "No Dogs" area
If an Officer asks for ID, show it
Don't lip off to a Police Officer. If this was not the case, you probably would have gotten off with a Desk Appearance Ticket instead of what you describe as "26 hours in the slammer."

RE: "And where was security when this girl was getting rapped? (sic)"
What does this have to do with your violating the co-op ruiles? That area is designated for children's play. I would be quite unhappy if my child was playing in an area used by a self-centered dog owner to allow his pet to deficate - whether he cleaned up after the dog or not.

RE: "I had no idea these rent a cops have the jurisdiction to arrest anyone."
Now that you know, the queation is: Did you learn a lesson?

                    I agree with you snap.
Alot of the dog owners do not go with the rules. I see people walking there dogs in the playground. I said to a lady you not allowed to have dogs in here, she said don't worry about it my dog does not bite.

I truly hope I am misunderstanding what you are trying to say here. But I do hope you realize that rapes can and do occur at all times of day to women of all ages (young or old) in virtually any location. Your statement implies that this woman caused herself to be raped. The ONLY person that caused this rape is the rapist. I also hope that you are not implying that because this particular victim was not a co-operator we should not be concerned?
Yes, we should all be careful. But your posts here and on other threads are implying that if the clubs weren't around or this girl weren't alone nothing would have happened. It may make us feel safer to think so but it's sadly not necessarily the case.
