?Looking Back/Giving Back: Rowland Scherman?s Iconic Images of the 60s,? a retrospective of one of the most acclaimed photojournalists of the period, will be exhibited in the rectory of St. Peter?s Chelsea to raise money for its Food Pantry, from November 20 through December 6. His iconic photos of Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King were published in Life, Look, National Geographic, Playboy--and then Scherman dropped out to herd sheep in Wales. Many of the images to be exhibited have never been seen. Opening reception: November 20, 6-8PM, followed by a presentation by Scherman. Free.

Saint Peter?s Chelsea is located at 346 West 20th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Exhibit hours are: Wednesdays, Noon to 2PM, Fridays, 6PM-8PM, and Saturdays, Noon to 4PM. For more information, call 212-929-2390. Visit: www.stpeterschelsea.com

Re: 60s Iconic Photo Exhibit to Benefit St. Peter's Food Pan

When my husband was out ofwork for the first time we spent many days on that food pantry line. Now it is tough for food pantries to survive. We also had a can drive at the democratic club recently and decided after my suggestion would goto that particular pantry.
