Man Stabbed To Death At Manhattan Nightclub

    August 18, 2007

Police are investigating a fatal stabbing inside a Manhattan dance club early this morning.

Police say Jean Muller, 25, of Elizabeth, New Jersey was stabbed in the stomach after an argument at Club Strata on West 21st Street/Broadway in the Flatiron District.

He died a short time later at Saint Vincent's Hospital.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

    Hey Vidis,

So that makes how many killings in Chelsea/Flatiron & surroundings in the last year I wonder. There have been several reported here (which is the only way I keep up with it), but I wonder what the official total is. Was it always like this? I used to think there were hardly ever any killings in Manhattan.

      Gee Vidis, that's a shame.

The victim was stabbed; I'm wondering what kind of security these clubs have whereby someone can still get in with some sort of weapon. Kind of frightening.

Thought I'd bump this up, just finished reading the NY Mag from a few weeks ago which covers crime stats...

        CHELSEA

        8 rapes

I wonder if these stats include the recent 4-8 shots heard, mentioned here this week - that happened off 9th/23rd.

            Nope, it was for 2007.

"Crime statistics for January 1?December 23, 2007 courtesy of the New York Police Department."
