    looks like associated supermarket could close of the rent goes up too high- hopefully peaceful protest this sunday at 1:30pm in front of the supermarket on 14th St. and 8th Ave.- via corey johnson- very important for people to go to this- we can not afford to lose this supermarket

        Hopefully, peaceful *and* productive. Unfortunately, I've been at protests over outrageous rent increases and we still lost some of our favorite stores and a great radio station which I still miss. I'll try to be optimistic and hope that decency prevails over greed.

            good turnout with the local politicians and press- a petition is circulating so go to change.com or contact the supermarket's landlord. pan am management- they want to raise the rent to 500 percent- are they kidding- do we need another CVS or Duane Reade in that space- the mom and pops need your support right now- their union UFCW local 338 was there with posters up
